A Vida Triste e Chata By MC Oliveira

September 21 - October 13 2012

A Vida Triste e Chata  translates to ‘An Annoying and Sad Life’. It’s as journey of a young girl’s life growing up in rural Portugal after WWII.
Lourdes was 8 years old when she lost her mother. She was left to look after her family in a harsh and often violent land.
These stories were told to us as children, time and time again to remind us of our roots, and to keep us quiet at bedtime.
It’s a glimpse of one story among millions that make Australia what it is today, a land full of diversity and rich in culture.
